Breaking news! We have bought a Spanish car!

During the last few months we were lucky enough to be able to borrow a car, but that time is over. So recently we have been visiting several cardealers in the region. The only thing we knew about cars is that they can get you from A to B. So we had some help from our parents and a family friend. Which turned out to be very useful. Because when you are searching for a car with a budget as low as ours, there are a lot more bad than good cars.

Our new car is an old piece of German engineering. A 2004 Volkswagen Golf that hopefully has a lot of kilometers left to go. We have bought the car from Automoción Benicarló a local cardealer in Benicarló. They sell secondhand cars in different price ranges. It’s a pretty good place to start looking for a car in case you just moved to the region or own a second house here. Because if your Spanish isn’t that fluent, they also speak English and German.

Meanwhile we also fixed the car insurances. The registration of the car was done by the gestor of the cardealer. So no worries there! About the car itself, it does exactly what it has to do. It carries us where we want to go. So we’re happy with it, let’s hope it stays that way 🙂
